Leading graphics supplier SAPPHIRE Technology has just introduced a new graphics accelerator based on industry leading architecture bringing a totally silent, passively cooled, solution to the midrange graphics market.

The SAPPHIRE X1650 PRO ULTIMATE EDITION is equipped with a specially developed heatpipe based passive cooler featuring a large 8mm heatpipe and radiator array – significantly more efficient than earlier and competing types, providing a totally silent operation under a wide range of system conditions.

Equipped with 256MB of GDDR3 memory, this model features clock speeds of 600MHz (core) and 1400MHz (memory) and delivers high efficiency, high performance in Shader Model 3.0 together with enhanced image quality. The architecture natively supports HDCP and also supports ATI AvivoTM technology delivering vibrant high fidelity images and video playback to the latest High Definition (HD) video standards. Two Dual-link DVI outputs are provided as well as TV out and multimonitor operation is supported with HydravisionTM

Full retail versions of these new SAPPHIRE graphics accelerators are shipping with a full set of cables, Cyberlink PowerDVD 5.0 and the recently released game, JUST CAUSE.
